INSTRUCTIONS


PREPARATIONS


Start by selecting a place to apply the material, so we have several possibilities:

1) Make samples on a dm 3 mm or more in thickness and 1 m2. or on a plasterboard, wood,etc

2) Make a sample on a floor or wall space in your warehouse, storage, etc ....

3) Or make the work in a space of the house, less than or equal to m2 surface provided in the kit.

The surface must be clean, without high moisture, and compact.

FIRST STAGE:


With masking tape we limit the scope of the sample or the work.

Proceed with the application of the adhesion promoter with a , brush or roller. Put just one
layer on the surface.

Let dry 15-30 minutes the adhesion promoter and prepare the Beton Cire base, use a clean
bucket to mix the material.

To calculate how much material we have to prepare, the consumption of the product on a
smooth surface is 1 kg per SQM , and the resin component B of the Beton Cire 250/300 grams per kg. of powder.

We also prepare the fiberglass mesh.

If you are preparing for 1m2, prepare 1 kg of Beton Cire base and 250/300 grams of resin
component B. Mix with the mixer for 3 minutes at low speed (500/600 rpm), if the mixture is
too pasty you can add more latex to achieve the desired consistency.

Using a wide spatula 10/20 cm, take a bit of material and deposited on the trowel and start the application on the surface, trying to make it as flat and smooth as possible.

When you have made 1 qm we place the fiber glass mesh, pressing with the trowel until the mesh is embedded in the material, if we need more product to cover the thickness, we can add the amount of material that we need to make flush with fiberglass mesh.

Let dry 3-5 hours, you will notice that the material is clarified by parts till get dry completely, then we sanding with a sandpaper grit 40, , eliminating surface imperfections left by trowel, not by altering the flatness of the surface .

We can also be sanded when we return to the job with the second layer, but keep in mind that if you left many hours, the hardening of the materials will make difficult sanding.


SECOND STAGE


If we not have  sanded before, we proceed to sand the surface with sandpaper grit 40/60.
Select a color from the color chart, and incorporate the pigments to the latex (resin comp. B). (The formula is for ½ liter of latex)

We calculate the materials that we have to use in the second layer of micro cement/beton cire base.

Then proceed with the application level as we detailed in the previous step, this time, it is not necessary to apply the fiberglass mesh, this one is placed on the first layer.

Let it dry a 3 or 4 of hours, and sanded with grit 40/60


THIRD STAGE


Change the masking tape with a new.

We have to clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove sanding dust.

We calculate the beton cire fino at 0.4 kg per layer, for example. For 1 Qm a 0.4 KG is enough.

Weigh the pigment for this quantity of beton cire, consider that the beton cire fino consumes
the double of resin comp. B than the beton cire base . For 1kg. we will need ½ liter of resin
comp. B

Put the colored latex into a clean container, gradually add the Microcement/beton cire fino powder, we beat 3-5 minutes with the drill and rod mixer until the mixture be well blended with a similar density like honey.

Apply with a trowel (steel or plastic) without making too much pressure.

Let it dry a couple of hours, and sanded with sandpaper 120/150 grit.


FOURTH STAGE


We repeat all the steps in the previous stage.

Let dry 24 hours or more.


FIFTH STAGE


Sand with sandpaper 120/150 grit, apply a damp cloth over the surface until it is completely
without waste and powder.

Apply with roller two layers of primer sealer (applying the second layer before get dry the first layer) then let dry.

Apply with roller the polyurethane varnish sealer that comes with the kit, let dry 2 or 3 hours and apply the second final layer.

The next day we have to tread the surface with special care, the total curing of the varnish is about 7 days.

After a week, we have the option of applying protective wax .
